Who wants some header wrap?

Some stainless zip-ties and aluminum color sealant.

I just ordered a DEI wrapping kit from Summit ($86 total) and know I will only use 1/2 the kit. I've done it before.

Anyone want to buy the other half of the kit for $40 shipped?

i could use about 4" to shield my aftermarket rear bumper from the heat of my exhaust but im not sure thats worth $40.

So, the purpose of header wrap is to keep the heat inside the headers (and not in the engine bay), right? Can it be flipped and used on an aluminum intake tube (to keep heat soak away from the metal)?

It is not good for intakes because it insulates rather than reflects.

DEI sells a wrap for intake piping.

You think? I mean you can use a thermos to hold in hot coffee, but an ice chest (which also insulates) keeps ice cold.

Actually, I remember reading somewhere a regular blanket, which most people associate with keeping warm, also slows ice from melting.
